Hoop Convergence -- Friday April 11 - Wednesday April 16, 2008 where to stay The Convergence has arranged to offer bunking and camping options at the beautiful Chestnut Ridge Camp & Retreat Center, located about 15 miles outside of Carrboro, North Carolina. The retreat center offers three different levels of accommodation.
Rustic Camping Sites
Tent Camping Tent camping is welcome and encouraged. We have established sites that are ideal for a "car camping" experience, complete with picnic table, water access, and campfire ring. We're also happy to host those who are looking for a more backcountry experience. We have many off-the-beaten-trail locations that are perfect for a minimal impact experience. This type of tent camping necessitates the use of Leave No Trace principles. Linen Service If you are flying into town and do not have room for sheets, towels and blankets, no worries. For $6.50 per bed, Chestnut Ridge will supply sheets, a blanket and a towel for the duration of your stay. Please try to squeeze a pillow into your bag. There will be a pillow case here waiting! Meals Camp Chestnut Ridge will prepare our meals for a very reasonable rate. Please let us know of any allergies and dietary restrictions in advance. Breakfasts are included for every participant.
